The MLMF race committee is hard at work setting up this year’s Michael LoVerme Memorial 5k Run/Walk.  With two years experience under our belt we expect this one to be the best yet!   The race will take place on Sunday, October 19 at noon at Merrimack High School.  The Patriots play Thursday night that week so we will have the whole afternoon to celebrate and remember Mike.

We hope that you are as excited as we are, but if not, here are the pictures from last year to get you good and pumped!  A huge thanks to Shane Godfrey Photography for these amazing shots!  We are extremely pleased Shane and his team will be joining us again this year!

MLF May 2013 007On May 29 the Michael LoVerme Memorial Foundation awarded our first Memorial Scholarship to Merrimack High School Student Roshni Narasimhan.  Her project was one of 22 entries addressing the prompt Tell us how you can use something you like doing to help others.  MHS guidance counselor, Patricia Tyler, presented the award, highlighting Michael’s altruistic character and recognizing Roshni’s similar nature.

We congratulate Roshni for this award and applaud her strong devotion to service.  Her project was both inspiring and humbling.  We wish her the best of luck in the fall when she will be attending the University of California at Berkeley.
